Hilton, the other week expanded the not-very well-received F&B credit for Gold and Diamond members that stay at Motto hotels globally (read more here), where previously it was only applicable for hotels in the United States.
The F&B credit was introduced as a temporary Covid-19-related measure in 2021 but appears to be in place indefinitely now.

Hilton Terms & Conditions Update:
Removed December 8, 2022
Qualification for all on-property Hilton Honors benefits, including complimentary Internet and MyWay benefits such as complimentary snacks and beverages, complimentary continental breakfast (All Inclusive hotels, hotels with Executive Lounges, and non-U.S. only), Daily Food & Beverage Credit (U.S. only , when guest does not have access to Executive Lounge)
Replaced With On December 8, 2022
Qualification for all on-property Hilton Honors benefits, including complimentary Internet and MyWay benefits such as complimentary snacks and beverages, complimentary continental breakfast OR a Daily Food & Beverage Credit (varies by brand and region)
I missed this change when it was rolled out to program T&Cs on December 8, 2022, as it was buried with other non-relevant changes.
complimentary continental breakfast OR a Daily Food & Beverage Credit (varies by brand and region)
The daily food and beverage credit is no longer limited to hotels in the United States per the program T&Cs but “varies by brand and region.”

Conclusion
It is unclear if and when, and to what brands Hilton plans to extend this globally beyond Motto, but it is becoming clearer from these T&Cs changes dated to January 1, 2021, even after this change on December 8, 2022, that something will happen.
We have tried to clarify with Hilton the state of these “temporary” Food and Beverage credits instead of continental breakfast for two but have not been successful.
Let’s hope that there is no surprise announcement for 2023, announced late Friday (always the best time for negative news!).
